Position Overview
BAAC Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Field Supervisor to oversee daily field operations across civil construction, underground infrastructure, and telecom projects. This role is responsible for leading crews, coordinating field activities, maintaining production schedules, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily field operations and crew activities
- Lead by example with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project specifications, schedules, and company standards
- Communicate effectively with project managers, superintendents, clients, subcontractors, and field crews
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings, FLRAs, and site safety inspections
- Coordinate equipment, materials, and manpower requirements for projects
- Monitor production targets and provide daily progress updates and reporting
- Support and mentor field employees to encourage growth, training, and accountability
- Ensure proper documentation is completed including timesheets, hazard assessments, inspections, and site reports
- Identify and resolve field issues proactively to minimize delays and downtime
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment on site
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience supervising crews in civil construction, underground utilities, telecom, or related industries
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills are mandatory
- Ability to manage crews, schedules, and multiple moving parts simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience reading construction drawings and project plans is considered an asset
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Ability to travel to project sites as required
- Strong understanding of safe work practices and construction site operations
- Comfortable working in fast-paced and changing environments
