The Opportunity

As a Civil Construction Project Manager, you will own the full lifecycle of complex civil and earthworks projects, from turnover to final close-out. You will be the central integrator who turns client requirements and engineering designs into safe, efficient field execution.

This role is ideal for a project manager who thrives in an equipment-intensive, fast-moving environment and wants clear accountability for schedule, cost, quality, and client satisfaction. You will have direct impact on project margins, crew productivity, and long-term client relationships.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of civil infrastructure and heavy earthworks projects, overseeing execution from project handover through completion and close-out.
• Plan and coordinate earthworks operations, including cut and fill, grading, excavation, and haul logistics, ensuring efficient equipment and crew utilization.
• Integrate underground utilities, duct banks, foundations, and other civil scopes with earthworks to eliminate conflicts, minimize rework, and maintain quality.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, look-ahead plans, and resource allocation for crews, equipment, and subcontractors to keep work on track.
• Manage project financials and contracts, including budgeting, forecasting, change orders, RFIs, submittals, progress billings, and close-out documentation.

What Success Looks Like

• Within 6–12 months, you are independently managing multiple civil and earthworks projects that are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budgeted margins.
• Project plans, look-aheads, and resource allocations are reliable, with minimal unplanned downtime, rework, or schedule recovery required.
• Financial performance is transparent and controlled, with accurate cost tracking, timely billing, and well-documented, negotiated change orders.
• Clients, field crews, and stakeholders recognize you as the primary point of contact who communicates clearly, resolves issues quickly, and drives proactive risk management and safety.

What We're Looking For

• At least 5 years of experience managing civil construction and earthworks projects with direct responsibility for field execution, schedule, and financial performance.
• Strong understanding of civil construction methods, heavy equipment operations, and sequencing of earthworks, utilities, and foundations.
• Experience working with linear infrastructure and unit-rate or time-and-material contracts, including change management and cost control.
• Proven leadership and communication skills with the ability to coordinate field crews, subcontractors, engineers, and clients; familiarity with tools such as B2W / Trimble Construction One, Smartsheet, and ERP-integrated systems.
