Project Logistics Coordinator

BAAC Construction Inc.
CA$52,000.00 - CA$72,000.00 per year

Job Title

Project Logistics Coordinator

Company Overview

BAAC Construction supports active construction projects that rely on strong coordination between the field and the office. Our work depends on keeping materials, equipment, vendors, and reporting aligned so projects move efficiently from startup through completion. This role is a key part of that effort and offers the chance to make a direct impact on daily operations and project performance.

The Opportunity

This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys fast-paced operational work and wants to play a central role in keeping construction projects organized, supplied, and moving forward. You will work closely with Project Managers, field teams, vendors, accounting, and leadership to solve problems in real time and improve how work gets done. For the right person, this is a career-building role with broad exposure across project operations.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate project startup activities, including vendor account setup, purchase orders, and required documentation so new jobs begin smoothly.
  • Support Project Managers and field teams with day-to-day operational needs and serve as a key communication link between the office and active job sites.
  • Manage material logistics by coordinating orders, deliveries, pricing, availability, and allocation across multiple projects based on schedule demands.
  • Track company vehicles and equipment across job sites, coordinate maintenance and inspections, and support mobilization and demobilization planning.
  • Maintain operational dashboards and real-time reporting to support weekly project health summaries and leadership visibility.
  • Work with vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, and accounting to support billing, cost tracking, onboarding, and issue resolution.
  • Step in when urgent challenges arise by identifying delays, solving operational issues, and helping improve workflows across active jobs.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 6 to 12 months, success in this role will look like:

  • New projects are set up accurately and on time, with vendor accounts, purchase orders, and documentation in place early enough to prevent delays.
  • Material orders and deliveries are coordinated reliably across active jobs, reducing shortages, downtime, and last-minute escalation.
  • Fleet and equipment tracking is organized and current, with maintenance, inspections, and compliance records kept up to date.
  • Dashboards and weekly operational reports provide leadership with a clearer, more timely view of project health, costs, and priorities.
  • Project Managers and field teams see you as a dependable problem solver who helps remove obstacles and keep work moving.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with 2+ years of experience in construction, logistics, operations, or a coordination-focused role. You should be highly organized, able to manage competing priorities, and confident communicating with both office and field teams. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams is important, along with experience using formulas, dashboards, or reporting tools such as Excel or Smartsheet.

The strongest candidates will bring a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Experience in civil construction, utilities, or telecom is an asset.
