Join the BAAC Construction Team

BAAC Construction is hiring an experienced Hydrovac Operator to support our expanding operations across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia. While projects may take you throughout Western Canada, the ideal candidate will be based in Calgary.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Hydrovac units for non-destructive excavation and exposing underground utilities.
• Travel to job sites across AB, SK, and BC; complete equipment setup, excavation tasks, and debris removal.
• Conduct daily inspections and routine maintenance on trucks and equipment.
• Adhere to all company and client safety procedures and protocols.
• Support various civil construction activities including utility locating, trenching, daylighting, and site preparation.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of Hydrovac operating experience.
• Valid Class 1 or 3 license with airbrake endorsement and a clean abstract.
• Safety certifications such as H2S Alive, First Aid, and Ground Disturbance are strong assets.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physical labour.
• Willingness to travel for extended out-of-town assignments (camp accommodations provided).
• Must be Calgary-based, with Calgary as your home dispatch location.
